JUNE 25, 2008 -- OptiCon Systems Inc. (search for OptiCon) has begun demonstrations of its new R-3.8.0.0 software to fiber-optic network providers across the country. The software is designed to provide management structure for a fiber-optic cable network used by cable providers and telcos that have deployed or will deploy fiber-optic cable.

OptiCon says its latest version of the software ensures compatibility with the latest Oracle database products, Microsoft Operating Systems, and the newest GIS technology from MapInfo.

OptiCon is focusing its initial efforts on signing maintenance agreements with communications companies and other organizations that are using earlier versions of OptiCon's software. They include Level 3 Communications, AT&T, Brighthouse Networks, among others. The second phase will be to market version R-3.8.0.0 to potential customers like Sprint/Nextel, Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Vodafone, and others.

"The latest version of the OptiCon software is more robust and effective than ever. With significant improvements to our reporting capabilities, particularly in the provisioning segment, we are excited to be able to bring the most up to date capabilities to our current customers and to other telecom companies looking for the best solution in managing their fiber networks," stated Sam Talari, OptiCon's chairman.

OptiCon will offer online demonstrations of the R-3.8.0.0 version of its fiber management software. Telephone, e-mail, and interactive, web-based support are also available. The company plans to expand its sales and marketing reach into Europe by opening an office in the United Kingdom in August 2008.
