JULY 30, 2008 -- LanOptics Ltd. has formally changed its corporate name to EZchip Semiconductor Ltd. (search for EZchip), effective July 22, 2008.

The corporate name change follows the change in the company's trading symbol to EZCH in January 2008, and the company's acquisition of substantially all of the outstanding shares of its subsidiary, EZchip Technologies. EZchip is a fabless semiconductor company that provides Ethernet network processors.

"The new company name better reflects our corporate mission -- to make EZchip the leading network processor vendor," said Eli Fruchter, CEO of EZchip. "Clients already know us by our EZchip name. Combining the two company names under the EZchip brand name concludes a long process of simplifying our corporate structure."

EZchip Semiconductor Ltd.'s shares are traded on the NASDAQ Global Market and the Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange under the symbol EZCH.
