Kazakhstan`s network

Kazakhtelecom, the long-distance and international operator of Kazakhstan, announced that AT&T Network Systems International will help modernize the country`s national network. Kazakhtelecom and AT&T will undertake a joint feasibility study in which the latter will provide management tools and expertise in market development, network operations, capacity planning and technical assistance. Upon the study`s completion in the first quarter of 1996, the companies will have defined long-term plans to serve business and residential customers` needs for basic and advanced communications services.
