JUNE 23, 2009 -- Zayo Bandwidth (search Lightwave for Zayo), a regional provider fiber-based bandwidth to carrier, enterprise and government customers, says it will begin providing fiber-based bandwidth services to the Youngstown, OH, metro area. Zayo says it will light over 60 miles of metro fiber, providing access to key locations in the greater Youngstown area, including mobile switching centers, central offices, and data centers.

Along with the expansion of its metro network in the area, Zayo will provide service to Youngstown-based network infrastructure consulting firm DRS, LLC. "This will create more opportunities for new businesses to take root and grow, which will benefit our local economy. Furthermore, it will also assist us with furthering our national support of infrastructure management to existing and prospective clients alike, truly a win-win situation for all parties."
