NOVEMBER 27, 2006 -- Calient Networks, (search for Calient Networks) supplier of carrier-class fiber-optic cross-connect systems (FOCS), today announced that its DiamondWave product has been deployed by Boeing, the world's largest manufacturer of commercial jetliners and military aircraft and a leader in advanced information and communication systems. Two DiamondWave systems have been installed at Boeing.

The DiamondWave family of products represents a cost and reliability breakthrough in optical switch design and manufacturing, say Calient representatives. It facilitates dynamic real-time management and troubleshooting of fiber networks with unparalleled ease of use, claims the company.

"We are pleased to add an industry leader like Boeing to our rapidly expanding list of satisfied customers," reports Tom Walsh, sales vice president at Calient Networks. "Our FOCS solution cost-effectively modernizes fiber management and dramatically reduces cycle time for bringing new communications innovations and services to market. We are taking orders for immediate delivery to a broad cross section of services providers, government agencies and manufacturing companies," he says.
