AUGUST 1, 2006 -- CEYX Technologies Inc. (search for CEYX Technologies) today announced the additions of Salvatore (Sal) Benti and Peter Ma to its executive team as executive vice president/chief operating officer and vice president of engineering, respectively.
CEYX Technologies is nearing commercialization of its software-enabled control systems for light-emitting devices for the datacom and display markets. "We have received tremendous market response to our innovations, and given the timing of business opportunities and go-to-market activities, we felt it was important to solidify operational and engineering excellence," says Carol Fuller, CEO and founder of CEYX Technologies. "We are very excited to welcome Sal Benti and Peter Ma, two high-caliber industry veterans who, I believe, fundamentally strengthen the strategic market focus and customer-centric approach of CEYX' senior management team."
Benti will be responsible for building, managing, and integrating all aspects of CEYX's operations and for ensuring excellence in all customer-facing activities. Prior to joining CEYX Technologies, he served as CEO of Malibu Networks, a 3G wireless broadband equipment company. Prior to Malibu Networks, Benti served in senior executive management positions with responsibilities for strategic planning, global sales, marketing, and business development at Adaptive Broadband, ComStream, GE Spacenet (formerly RCA American Communications), CONTEL, and ITT Business Systems.
Fresh from serving in a number of director-level functions for Hewlett Packard, Ma will be responsible for building and managing CEYX's engineering team and for delivering technology to the display and datacom markets. At Hewlett Packard, Ma was director of new business development, product marketing, and research and development for the OEM Industrial Printing Division. Ma has also served as Hewlett Packard program manager for a variety of product development projects, in addition to leading numerous engineering projects. He holds a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
