Telrad Networks deploys triple-play network in Republic of Georgia

JANUARY 11, 2007 -- The new IP/MPLS-based networking system has been designed to meet NewNet's growth and capacity requirements for the next 10 years.

JANUARY 11, 2007 -- NewNet, the Republic of Georgia's second largest telecom operator, recently installed the country's most advanced triple-play network. Commercial deployment of the network, including IPTV, when live this week after successful implementation with commercial customers for the last four months. Telrad Networks served as the system integrator for the project.

NewNet implemented this strategic project in an effort to provide advanced communications services nationwide and to be the leader in providing the full range of triple-play (television, video-on-demand, Internet services, voice and video phone) services for its subscribers. The new IP/MPLS-based networking system has been designed to meet NewNet's growth and capacity requirements for the next 10 years.
