Metromedia Fiber Network Inc. (MFN--New York City) plans to expand the reach of its dark fiber infrastructure into Atlanta`s metropolitan area. When the infrastructure is complete, MFN expects its domestic networks to encompass more than one million fiber-mi. The Atlanta expansion allows MFN to enter its first major U.S. Southeast market.
