AMP Inc., Harrisburg, PA, has acquired the privately held Australia-based Fibernet companies, which are involved in the design, engineering, and manufacture of optical-fiber systems, associated cabling hardware, and test equipment. The acquisition includes Melbourne, Australia-based Fibernet Pty. Ltd. and Wellington, New Zealand-based Fibernet-New Zealand Ltd.
