GST Telecommunications Inc. (Vancouver, WA) entered into an agreement with Pacific Fiber Link llc(Blaine, WA) to purchase a portion of its fiber-optic network between Sacramento, CA, and Portland, OR. The agreement also provides both companies with the option to acquire additional fiber on each other`s routes throughout North America. Under the agreement, Pacific Fiber Link will build a 715-mi fiber route from Portland to Sacramento, linking directly into GST`s California fiber route currently under construction.
