DSC Communications Corp., Plano, TX, has acquired Copenhagen-based NKT Electronik A/S, a supplier of synchronous digital hierarchy optical transmission equipment, for approximately $145 million. The company also manufactures optical fiber amplifiers and advanced network management systems.
