The Optoelectronics Division of Siemens Components Inc., Cupertino, CA, will acquire the optically coupled solid-state-relay business of AT&T Microelectronics, Berkeley Heights, NJ. AT&T will continue to supply Siemens with silicon photodetectors for solid-state relays. The agreement also calls for assembly to shift from AT&T to Siemens` Optoelectronics site in Penang, Malaysia.
