Mitel Corp., San Diego, has acquired ABB Hafo AB of Jarfalla, Stockholm, Sweden, from Asea Brown Boveri AB for $56 million. The Swedish company manufactures high- performance optoelectronic components for communications markets. Mitel, an international telecommunications solutions supplier, provides customer premises equipment, semiconductors, public switching systems, network enhancement and gateway products.
