AT&T preps management team for completion of Time Warner merger

AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) has reshuffled its management team in anticipation of receiving approvals from the U.S. Department of Justice and other foreign regulatory authorities for its pending acquisition of Time Warner Inc. The U.S. Tier 1 service provider has added responsibilities to the plates of three senior executives, including Chief Strategy Officer and Group President of AT&T Technology and Operations John Donovan.

AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) has reshuffled its management team in anticipation of receiving approvals from the U.S. Department of Justice and other foreign regulatory authorities for its pending acquisition of Time Warner Inc. The U.S. Tier 1 service provider has added responsibilities to the plates of three senior executives, including Chief Strategy Officer and Group President of AT&T Technology and Operations John Donovan.

The following reassignments are effective August 1, 2017:

  • Lori Lee will assume leadership of AT&T International in addition to her currently responsibilities as AT&T's global marketing officer. AT&T International provides mobile services to more than 13 million consumers and businesses in Mexico as well as pay-TV services to more than 13 million subscribers across 11 countries and territories in Latin America and the Caribbean..
  • John Stankey will take Lee's place as lead of AT&T's Time Warner Merger Integration Planning Team. Stankey will be asked to collaborate with Time Warner Inc. Chairman and CEO Jeff Bewkes to ensure for a smooth leadership transition that will see Stankey become CEO of AT&T's media company. Stankey was previously CEO of AT&T Entertainment Group.
  • Donovan will become CEO of AT&T Communications, which includes AT&T's Business Solutions, Entertainment Group, and Technology & Operations groups.

All three executives will continue to report to AT&T Inc. Chairman and CEO Randall Stephenson.
