The product breaks new ground with its wireless capability—making field use a very practical reality. Judge's Comment.
Fiber-optic systems are very sensitive to dirty or damaged connectors. The FOCIS Flex aims to help users verify connectors are clean and at optimal performance levels. Users can inspect these connectors during network installation, troubleshooting, or maintenance. One button controls auto-focus and auto-centering, applies pass/fail rules, displays the image and pass/fail results, and wirelessly transfers the image and results via Bluetooth to a paired FLX380 or OFL280 FlexTester.

Other features include a rechargeable battery, which allows the FOCIS Flex to be used independently from an OTDR or other display unit; interchangeable adapter tips to support connector inspection for a range of patchcords and bulkhead-mounted connectors; and the ability to store results either internally or externally via a USB connection to a PC.
