Colocation services provider vXchnge says its flagship data center in Philadelphia is open for business. The facility, at 1500 Spring Garden Street, features 70,000 square ft of space.
The new Philadelphia facility is vXchnge's fifteenth in the U.S. The company says its new site is fault tolerant, offers concurrent maintainability, and is backed by a 100% service-level agreement (SLA).
"Our footprint across the United States serves markets that reach over 80 million eyeballs and close to 500 million network enabled devices," said Keith Olsen, CEO at vXchnge. "These 15 data centers are robust marketplaces for cloud services, e-commerce, and enterprises that require co-location at the edge, in locations where they can serve customers locally and reach more businesses and more consumers in more markets."
As is the case with the company's other facilities, the Philadelphia vXchnge data center features a software-defined infrastructure designed to eliminate risks through transparency and offer customers individual flexible, reliable, and scalable "Micro-Data Centers." Security features include iris scanners, two-factor authentication, and cylindrical portals.
