Lightower Fiber Networks buys Columbus data center Datacenter101
Fiber-optic network services provider Lightower Fiber Networks says it has acquired Datacenter101, which operates a data center facility at 101 East Tower Street in Columbus, OH. Datacenter101 offers enterprise-class data center services and carrier-class colocation services. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Datacenter101's data center hosts what Lightower described as "a diversified group of service providers" and provides access to Lightower's fiber network and its more than 15,000 service locations throughout the Midwest, Northeast, and Mid-Atlantic. It offers approximately 10,000 sq. ft. of data center space with scalable and customizable leases of cages and cabinets, as well as N+1 power and UPS and N+1 cooling.
"Datacenter101's facility is located in an essential connectivity point within Columbus, Ohio, and this acquisition further emphasizes Lightower's commitment to supporting and investing in the Ohio marketplace," commented Rob Shanahan, CEO of Lightower.
