Opticonx Inc. has unveiled data center fiber-optic cable featuring a base 8 configuration. The Xtreme8 cable is designed for easy migration of 10/40/100 and 400G parallel optics deployments in data center networks.

Opticonx Inc. has unveiled data center fiber-optic cable featuring a base 8 configuration. The Xtreme8 cable is designed for easy migration of 10/40/100 and 400G parallel optics deployments in data center networks.

The Xtreme8 from is a base 8 plug-and-play system. It features eight-fiber MTP/MPO terminated trunks, cassette modules, harnesses, patch cables, and patch panels. One of the design benefits is that Xtreme8 cassette modules present a smaller footprint than base 12 systems.

The product family includes:

  • MTP to duplex LC module
  • MTP trunk cables
  • QSFP to SFP+ data center harnesses
  • Patch panels
  • Uniboot LC duplex jumpers
  • MTP jumpers.
