Cross River Fiber’s fiber-optic route to NJFX Tier 3 colocation campus offers NY and NJ carrier connection
Cross River Fiber, which offers fiber-optic network and telecommunications services in metro New York/New Jersey, says it has completed its fiber-optic route to the New Jersey Fiber Exchange (NJFX) Tier 3 colocation campus in Wall Township, NJ. The fiber network offers interconnection between the NJFX campus and major financial exchanges and carrier hotels in the New York/New Jersey metro area.
NJFX, which custom-builds its network to client specifications, operates the only carrier-neutral Tier 3 cable landing and colocation campus, and has direct marketplace access via its subsea exchange platform, carriers, service providers, and content companies.
NJFX announced last October it would provide interconnection to more than 1 million route miles, as well as over 1 million square feet of global data center space in 240 countries (see "NJFX touts route diversity across major interconnection points"). Offering a reliable network for NJFX customers, the completed fiber route employs new optical glass, along with a network that has diverse legacy infrastructure options.

"By providing purpose-built transport options between the NJFX campus and these important exchange points, we are enabling any enterprise who conducts critical business transactions domestically and abroad, effectively closing the loop between subsea transport and the NY-based interconnections that drive business."
Cross River Fiber delivers high-capacity, latency-sensitive dark and lit services, and designs, constructs, and maintains its own independent network. One year ago, Cross River Fiber partnered with ZenFi, a New York-based carrier-neutral fronthaul fiber provider, to offer customers self-service connectivity capability, with connections leveraging the fiber-optic networks of the two partners and connecting data centers and colocation facilities in the New York/New Jersey metro area (see "ZenFi, Cross River Fiber offer zXc Platform for self-service metro connections"). According to Cross River Fiber, this recent fiber-optic network provides additional interconnection options to enterprises, and the international community in the New York/New Jersey metro area.
