SEPTEMBER 29, 2009 -- Hitachi Communication Technologies America, Inc. (Hitachi-CTA), a supplier of FTTP technologies and products, has announced that Advanced Media Technologies (AMT) will serve as a stocking distributor for Hitachi's Node+Zero radio frequency over glass (RFoG) product family in the United States. AMT will support cable television and other communications network operators with Hitachi’s single-fiber RFoG technology, enabling network operators to deliver video, data, and voice services via optical fiber.
"Hitachi is pleased to have AMT as a channel partner," says Rick Schiavinato, Hitachi-CTA vice president of sales and marketing. "AMT is well known as a top-tier supplier to cable television network operators and for providing outstanding customer service. They will be a tremendous asset as we expand the market for our Node+Zero solution."
According to Ken Mosca, AMT president, "Hitachi's Node+Zero product is a universal RFoG solution that is compatible with major headend and CPE equipment. Combined with the broad range of products that we currently provide to the CATV industry in these areas, we look forward to including the Hitachi RFoG product as part of our end-to-end fiber solution in multiple applications."
