SEPTEMBER 14, 2010 -- BroadLight, a supplier of fiber access processors, has released its unified software platform supporting a single development base for all GPON and Ethernet Gateway applications.

SEPTEMBER 14, 2010 -- BroadLight, a supplier of fiber access processors, has released its unified software platform supporting a single development base for all GPON and Ethernet Gateway applications.

GateMakerPro R2.2 allows developers to easily add a variety of applications and seamlessly port them across BroadLight processors.
“The rapid growth of the fiber access market is driving shorter development cycles,” says Doron Tal, vice president of business development and product management at BroadLight. “Our consolidated software platform enables our customers to rapidly develop and deploy scalable and rich product portfolios based on our technology.”
The consolidated software enables a unified API framework that supports the 2nd and 3rd generation BroadLight fiber access processor families, and leverages the investment in the qualified traffic model, Gateway middleware, and voice plane interoperability.
Features of the GateMakerPro (GMP) include: Native IPv6, WiFi Acceleration, enhanced classification engine, advanced scheduling, and IPTV and MAC table scaling.
