FEBRUARY 1, 2010 American Fiber Systems Inc. (AFS) in Rochester, N.Y., has completed its fiber optic network expansion into Carson City, Nev., which extends the AFS network to major State of Nevada facilities as well as Carson City business locations.
The new AFS metro fiber network offers managed services including Ethernet networking speeds from 10 megabits per second to 10 gigabits per second, as well as Internet bandwidth for businesses. The AFS Carson City network, composed of 5,600 fiber miles, links Carson City to AFS's metro network in Reno, Nev.
