FEBRUARY 1, 2010 Officials of broadband networking specialist NTT Communications Corp. in Tokyo needed traffic identification and management tools for a nationwide deployment on their high-speed network. They found their solution in the Policy Traffic Switch (PTS) from Sandvine Inc. in Waterloo, Ontario.

Sandvine’s PTS platform provides a layer of intelligence into wireless and broadband networks, company officials say. Sandvine provides intelligent broadband network solutions for cable, DSL, FTTx, fixed wireless, and mobile operators.

"Our platform and applications were tried and tested to ensure they meet the usage demands of close to eight million subscribers on NTT Communications’s network," says Dave Caputo, Sandvine's president and chief executive officer.
