JULY 9, 2007 -- Connexion Technologies (search for Connexion Technologies) today reported that it will build fiber-optic networks for three more properties: Livingston Ranch, a single-family community in the greater Yuma, AZ area (Kammann Development); Tuscany Villas at Painted Mountain, luxury town homes in Mesa, AZ (Mehan Construction); and The Plaza on Brickell, an upscale high-rise in Miami, FL (The Related Group).
According to an April study by the FTTH Council and the Telecommunication Industry Association (TIA), nearly eight million US homes have been passed with fiber. "Clearly, America's need for speed is driving sustainable, accelerated growth in deployment of high-bandwidth fiber to homes across the country," contends Joe Savage, president of the Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) Council (search for FTTH Council). "We expect this rate of growth will continue as an increasing number of Americans discover the ease with which [applications] are delivered through fiber-enabled connections."
As a fiber-optic amenity company, Connexion Technologies says it has "exploded" in the past year, signing additional contracts with national developers at a steady rate. Connexion Technologies continues to help the southeast, particularly Florida, lead the nation in FTTH deployment.
"With many states following Florida's lead, we now find ourselves out West," adds Jaime Cnossen, national field marketing manager for Connexion Technologies. "Our partnership with Tuscany Villas at Painted Mountain is the first certified fiber-optic development in the state of Arizona."
