Universal Communication Networks inks $66-million agreements for Minnesotan networks

Carrier's carrier Universal Communication Networks Inc. (UCN-Denver, CO) has signed three agreements with major domestic carriers to provide optical fiber and conduit along its Minnesota statewide and metropolitan network. These three deals are valued at approximately $66 million dollars.

Carrier's carrier Universal Communication Networks Inc. (UCN-Denver, CO) has signed three agreements with major domestic carriers to provide optical fiber and conduit along its Minnesota statewide and metropolitan network. These three deals are valued at approximately $66 million dollars.

Initially, UCN will install its fiber along interstate, limited access highways, and other rights of way in Minnesota. UCN has completed a portion of the Connecting Minnesota network, and construction is underway with the goal of completing the 2200-mile network by be the end of 2001.
