Qwest Communications International Inc. (Denver, CO) announced it has signed approximately $45 million in contracts with multiple companies for the sale of dark fiber. Under terms of each agreement, Qwest will provide access to certain fiber routes along its nationwide network. Qwest also announced a contract to construct and install conduit for an additional 140 route-mi to ACSI Network Technologies Inc. (Annapolis Junction, MD). Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. In another contract, Qwest will provide broadband capacity on the nationwide Qwest Macro Capacity Fiber Network to Globix Corp. (New York City). The multi-year contract is worth approximately $35 million.
