Optical-fiber cable unit

AMP Inc., Harrisburg, PA, has established an Optical Fiber Cable Division (OCD) as the fifth operating business unit of the company`s Global Optical Interconnection Systems Group. OCD provides optical-fiber cabling to the worldwide premises/networking, original equipment manufacturer and telephone company/cable-TV industries. A manufacturing facility in Greensboro, NC, is expected to be ready by the fourth quarter of 1996 to supply a complete line of optical-fiber cables, including custom-designed solutions.
