Ohio fiber link

Columbus, OH-based Gudenkauf Corp. is installing Phase II of a fiber-optic telecommunications network in Columbus. The network will offer high-bandwidth capabilities, granting large volumes of uninterrupted transmission of video, voice and data signals across fiber-optic cabling. Phase II of this Columbus Fiber Infrastructure Initiative is a component in the development of a community-wide local area network, which is composed of fiber-optic and coaxial cables. The 48-strand fiber-optic cable will travel 6.62 miles in a city-owned conduit from City Hall to destinations including Ohio State University and the Greater Columbus Convention Center.
