Hamilton Telecommunications taps DZS for Central Nebraska FTTP deployment

The Nebraskan broadband services provider will use the fiber to the premises (FTTP) equipment as part of a footprint expansion in 21 towns in Central Nebraska.

DZS (NASDAQ: DZSI) says that it will supply elements of its DZS Velocity Access Edge portfolio and DZS Helix Home Edge line to longstanding customer Hamilton Telecommunications. The Nebraskan broadband services provider will use the fiber to the premises (FTTP) equipment as part of a footprint expansion in 21 towns in Central Nebraska, funded by the Nebraska Public Services Commission’s Broadband Bridge Grant Program.

The work to reach new service areas complements an ongoing FTTP deployment project that seeks to bring fiber to all of Hamilton Telecommunications’ broadband customers in its traditional territories. The service provider expects to be able to deliver broadband speeds of up to 1 Gbps as well as managed WiFi, IPTV, and voice services.
