October 10, 2005 Hickory, NC -- Corning Cable Systems recently introduced Quanta Services as the newest member of the Corning Total Access Program (TAP). According to Corning, the program provides qualified design, engineering, furnishing, and installation companies with necessary tools to ensure successful FTTH deployments.
Certified TAP members receive all-inclusive access to Corning's FTTH platform. According to the company, after completing specialized training in the installation of optical access networks, program members are able to offer their customers up to a 10-year extended product warranty on complete Corning FTTH platforms (drop cables and assemblies carry a 3-year warranty).
"The Corning Total Access Program allows us to offer a warranty on certain Corning products, extending the value we deliver to our customers," says Ken Trawick, president of Quanta Services Telecom and Cable TV division. "We are proud to be part of this selective membership group."
