RLA installed Telco Systems' EdgeLink V24S, 24-port switch to provide residents with symmetrical VDSL for high-speed Internet access together with standard voice and the option to add video services at anytime. The Pacific Park Plaza houses 580 units. Each residence that chooses this service will be provided with an EdgeLink VTU10 VDSL Termination Unit, which connects to the existing phone line as easily as an answering machine, to provide safe, hardwired copper phone connections plus 1.5 Mbps Internet service, an email account, a personal home page and FTP service all with 24-hour customer support.
The EdgeLink VDSL solution is ideal for MTU/MDU (Multi-Tenant Unit, Multi-Dwelling Unit), SOHO (Small Office, Home Office), campus environments; and high-bandwidth applications, such as streaming video, video on demand and surveillance; all using existing two-wire facilities.
