AFL: FlowScout SE100

Feb. 21, 2024
AFL’s FlowScout SE100 enables fiber technicians to verify continuity and insertion loss quickly and easily from one end of the network without requiring test equipment or an operator at the other end of the network.

AFL’s FlowScout SE100 enables fiber technicians to verify continuity and insertion loss quickly and easily from one end of the network without requiring test equipment or an operator at the other end of the network. This is beneficial in applications in which the far end of the network is difficult or inconvenient to access, including FTTH applications with indoor ONTs located inside subscriber premises; FTTA applications in which fibers are installed up a tower but not yet connected to the radio unit; and business backhaul or carrier’s carrier locations having a remote demarcation point hand-off to a business customer or a mobile operator. Using FlowScout SE100 in these applications eliminates the need to access customer premises, the top of a cell tower, or a remote demarcation point.

Judge’s Comment: “It's truly innovative to bring laboratory-level capability and accuracy into the field. FlowScout SE100 makes it look easy.”
