Acome optical cables deployed in French urban communities
July 5, 2005 Paris, France -- Acome announced that it is providing high-capacity optical cables to Arras-Networks, which was recently awarded a concession by the "Urban Community of Arras" for the construction of a broadband network. The optical cables will be installed by France's Sogea Group, and will connect the community's 26 towns, as well as the area's industrial parks and sectors for food production, agriculture, and services.
In a related announcement, Acome announced that it has provided high capacity optical cables for the construction of a broadband network for the urban community of "Le Creusot - Montceau" in Saône-et-Loire. The Sogea Group installed the cables, which connect the community's 16 towns, along with its industrial parks and service sectors.
