May 5, 2005 Bothell, WA -- Leviton has introduced its e2Connect Plug-n-Play Fiber System. According to the company, the pre-terminated, pre-tested structured cabling system eliminates the need for field termination and splices. The company calls the system a key element of its e2x architecture, an integrated platform designed especially for data centers and other environments requiring advanced structured cabling performance.

According to the company, based on high-density components, the system reduces space requirements by up to 50% in cable pathways, racks, and cabinets, while reducing installation times by up to 75%. In addition, the company says its "Fiber on Demand" fulfillment process ensures that customers get system components faster than from other vendors.

The system's components include trunks, MTP plug-and-play modules, enclosures, adapter brackets, harnesses, equipment cords, and crossconnect cords.
