Multifiber connector

The MTP multifiber push-pull-style optical connector accommodates up to 12 standard fibers in a 0.5 ¥ 0.3-inch housing. Both ribbon cable and ribbonized stranded cable can be terminated in the MT ferrule. The connector replaces an older version and features a pin clamp and a crimp-on cable strain relief. It provides 0.35-dB typical loss across all fibers. The device is used in LAN premises wiring systems, switched video systems, and telecommunications switching offices.
