Adelphia Communications Corp., Coudersport, PA, has announced that its subsidiary, Adelphia Telecommunications Inc., will use fiber-optic transmission capacity leased from ixc Communications, Austin, TX, to provide voice telecommunications services. New York is the first state where Adelphia will have a presence; the company hopes to enter other states as regulatory approvals are received.
