    Sonet ring manager

    The Titan 5500 digital crossconnect system is now available with integrated optical ring management (feature package 5.0). The Sonet ring manager feature allows the Titan 5500/S to be directly connected to multiple fiber-optic rings. It also simplifies surveillance and provisioning of other transport elements (add/drop and terminal multiplexers) that are connected to the ring.
