Troubleshooting kit

The Model 2854K FiberTracker Troubleshooting Kit minimizes connectivity problems for fiber-optic installations. The kit suits outside-plant, cable-TV, power-utility, and premises-wiring applications, and works equally well with singlemode and multimode fibers, cables, splices, and connectors. The unit indicates optical faults through the jacket or buffer of most commonly used optical-fiber cables. It can be used as a stand-alone kit or with an otdr. The portable, battery-operated Model 2854T light source injects tracer signals into one end of the fiber. Users can select the optical output as a continuous tone or pulsed tone. A 3-m singlemode st-st launch cable and portable battery charger are included in the kit.
