Intelect will also provide its sonetlynx product to the Federal Aviation Administration (faa)

for a 10-node fiber-optic communications system now under construction for the Austin International Airport in Texas. Alcatel Network Systems Inc., also of Richardson, TX, will build the network. The airport project is part of an faa effort to install fiber-based communications networks in locations where conventional radio-frequency communications might interfere with air traffic control equipment, including navigation gear.
