has tapped Nortel, Ottawa, ON, Canada, to supply its s/dms TransportNode OC-48 for deployment in a ring configuration. The new equipment is part of a network upgrade from OC-12 (622-Mbit/sec) transmission. Nortel also will supply its Junglemux to modernize the utility`s protective relaying network.
