Calgary, AB, Canada, will use the Soneplex DS-1 service delivery system from adc Telecommunications, Minneapolis, MN, in its fiber-based T1 1.554-Mbit/sec loop facilities to meet an increasing demand for circuits. Shaw will employ the new equipment to upgrade voice and data services in Calgary and other Canadian metropolitan areas. It will install the Soneplex`s Quad Loop Extender fiber cards at its hub sites to deliver DS-1 service to high-capacity users as well as for nodes/drops at strategic customer premises.
