Fiber-optic cleaver

The palm-sized fiber-optic cleaver scribes and breaks fiber, leaving endfaces with a mirror finish that requires no further processing before termination or splicing. Its adapter plate has two fiber guides, which enable it to cleave 900-micron jacketed fiber to lengths from 10 to 20 mm. Also, 250-micron-coated fiber can be cleaved to lengths from 6 to 20 mm. If the adapter plate is removed, the device can accept fiber holders for multifiber cleaving operations.
