Universal fiber-optic connectors

The sup-1 universal fiber-optic connector features preassembled, one-piece crimp technology and uses a proprietary, funnel-type pre-radiused ferrule. The termini, crimp ring, and hood are the same for both the FC and SC connectors. The termini are structured to facilitate attachment and removal of the housing. The connector bodies are manufactured from lightweight, high-impact-resistant UL 94V-O-rated polymer. The devices accommodate 3-, 2-, and 0.9-mm fiber types. Typical insertion loss is 0.5 dB, and return loss is -50 dB.
