Lucent Technologies of Murray Hill, NJ, plans to invest $350 million in fiber- optics manufacturing operations worldwide. The majority of the expenditure is expected to occur at Lucent`s Norcross, GA, manufacturing facility. The balance of the investment will go toward the company`s worldwide operations.
