12-fiber splicer

The Ericsson rsu 12 12-fiber splicer has a 6.5-inch monitor with full-color user interface and on-screen help functions. Splicing procedures are automatic with arc compensation for altitude, temperature, and humidity. Splicing data can be downloaded and stored directly on disc, and remote communication is possible with an RF-232 connection. The unit features built-in heat oven and optical built-in tensile tester. The device measures 223 ¥ 346 ¥ 165 mm and weighs 5.3 kg. It splices singlemode, multimode, and dispersion-shifted fiber.
