A new, high-speed isdn service will connect the United States and Russia, according to at&t of Morristown, NJ, and Sovintel of Moscow. The new connection will carry digitized voice, data, images, and live video at speeds from 56/64 to 384 kbits/sec using inverse multiplexing. Sovintel`s access to at&t`s isdn network will be available first in Moscow and St. Petersburg, due to the availability of new fiber-optic networks.
