atm network modules

The ForeRunner Sonet/sdh modules for ForeRunner asx-200bx and asx-1000 atm backbone switches provide enterprise backbones with a buffering scheme and explicit rate available bit-rate (er abr) hardware support. These capabilities allow large numbers of low-speed ports to fan-in to high-performance backbones. The modules give ForeRunner backbone switches the largest number of buffers (more than one million cells per switch) available for enterprise environments. er abr provides detailed information to source addresses when congestion occurs, enabling the source to adjust traffic.
