Telecomunicacoes do Parana

July 1, 1997

(Telepar) of Brazil plans to build a 3100-km fiber-optic telecommunications network that will link major regions of the Brazilian state of Parana. Work is expected to begin shortly and continue to year-end 1999. Six different consortia will work on the network.
