Simplex Technologies Inc., Newington, NH, has received a $10 million contract from AT&T Submarine Systems Inc. for the manufacture of an undersea fiber-optic cable for the Bermuda-United States-1 cable system (BUS-1). The system is slated to connect the East Coast of the United States with Land`s End, Bermuda. The 4-fiber SL-2000 cable will transmit signals at 2.5 Gbits/sec and accommodate 120,000 simultaneous circuits, including voice, video, and data.
