Mountain View, CA-based Whitetree Inc. (formerly Whitetree Network Technologies Inc.) has signed an agreement with Texas Instruments (TI) to produce a new generation of Ethernet and Asynchronous Transfer Mode network switching silicon. Using TI`s 0.35-micron cmos process, the application-specific integrated circuit will be packaged in a 352-pin ball grid array, operate at 100 MHz, and support switching speeds to 1 Gbit/sec.
